Venezuela, Farnum Playground, Guyana 2026 ..

 

Invasions 

Day after USA invade Venezuela and kidnap the dictator Maduro, the man who supports PPP because he feel that no one else better while also afraid of the PPP - asks me 'So what yall gun do now about Farnum Playground"?  

Residents of Subryanville  have been calling on the Government agencies to restore Farnum Playground to the community after the occupation of the land by private business interests who to this date, remain unknown.

Much like the appeals to the United Nations on the other occupations in the world, it seems the residents' calls on the Central Housing and Planning Authority, the Ministry of Education, The Ministry of Local Government, the Mayor and City Council are going to be useless because the only thing matters as the USA Government showed last Saturday.. law does not matter, only power. 

Venezuela/Guyana

In April 2002, a woman sitting next to me in the square in Havana who offered me one of the cakes she was eating asked me if I know about the problems in Venezuela. I learned then of the attempted coup against Chavez.  The Copa airlines flight that night went on to Caracas, and Venezuelan woman next to me on the plane said that there will be new Government and she looked glad about it.. 

No other flights left Caracas. So I spent the weekend in the cold cold Caracas Airport until the flight came , and looking at the workers and so in the airport, cleaners and so who did not seem happy like the woman on the plane.

 I cannot join the protest scheduled for Wed 11 Jan 2026 outside the US Embassy.

I am doing as many others are doing to state that  I reject the USA's invasion of Venezuela.

I condemn the murders of Latin American citizens by the US Army who their victimsd were dealing in drugs, 

Doing all this as I know that there are Venezuelans who are glad Maduro has gone and there are Venezuelas who are angry at the way that the way he has gone and that there are Venezuelans who  yearn to survive at least like many Guyanese, and that  Venezuelans who are Maduro and non-Maduro think Essequibo belongs to them.

The enemy of my enemy is not my friend even as the Bhagvad Gita says to view my enemies and friends as the same.

Oil, Law

Another man asks so how the first working day of 2026, and I say nah man, is 1492 where instead of Gold, is oil and gold and minerals and whatever else.  

And the first work email is from Latin American colleagues which say 'I hope you had a nice start to the year" and I had to reply to say that nah man, in English, some of us still shocked at the violation of international law 

but I know we will not engage further on this matter because USA invasion of Venezuela much like the private business invasion of Farnum Playground and the other parts of the country where private business has taken over community lands is part of oily development..

Man asks me if I does still write - he also see one playground in his community gone to a private owner and I say I not sure what to write these days because like is the same thing over and over. and I am afraid too..

afraid that all this US invasion of Venezuela will do is give permission for the local invaders and occupiers and oppressors to violate law - the Constitution, the written laws about driving, and other things.. 

the unwritten laws about caring for our neighbours, about not making noise to punish neighbours and animals

while law will be invoked to silence us who want to talk about these things.
