15 images and the mental health ritual..

This golden apple has been hanging for days.. drying it seems.. normally they fall down or birds eat them but something about this one here.. hanging on.. hanging on..

 

Things are fuzzy, messing up things and then check the calendar and realise the moon is moving so I go walk around the yard to exercise the mind a bit while waiting for the moon and dark clouds to pass.....  

Mango tree in blossom again and flowers show promise of turpentine tasting then sweet mangoes to be shared with birds and other animals
Looked closer and realised that the blossoms on this tree are beautiful like the fruit they promise 


Orchid on the palm tree and seeing how a few palm fruit decomposes in the roots on the branch and realising that there is more than one way for the palm to nurture the orchid

Walking around the untidy yard and did not realise that leaf dries in this lacy pattern


"Dat tree gun grow out of hand" they said.. not sure how it seeded in the unused plant pot and then it cracked the plant pot.. something about trees cracking concrete... keeping it there even though it not pretty


Mixed up yard and flowers and the purple hangs on the red and the trees are tangled up now.. like how some of us are ..


Random petal from tree falling in between leaves of tree which does not have flowers but then there is a flower for a time anyway..


The gold of the live flower is pretty and then the dark brown of the leaves dying in a kind of grace behind it


Tree with red leaves blooming after work given to annoying man who comes to work when he wants money to drink rum but whose hands work magic with the trees..


Remembering that this tree has red leaves and red flowers too and it is mixed up with two other trees....


The white flowers from the golden balls are in a part of the yard which should have other things but dont


Baby sapodilla from a tree from which I have never eaten the sapodilla as they seem to disappear.. but all things to the Universe..


Something about how this baby sapodilla nestles in the leaves.. like a kind of flower thing..


Green blossom looks strong , pretty.. might give mangoes, might not give mangoes, but it does not matter.. it has given me something to write about when I did not feel like writing anything...

Turpentine mango madness

Some of the mango was stuck on the stubble around my mouth. I looked at the mirror, a bit of shame because I had just collected an invitation from a well dressed guy and I wonder how I must have looked to him.. look at dis big man .. he cyan eat mango good . Thing is.. wiping off mango from stubble is difficult.. and the casual swipe with a hand which might have some juice is also useless. The turpentine mango is useless when it is green - it tastes awful, like turpentine.  Mother Nature works a miracle because the ripe one though, is sweet, juicy, no strings and no turpentine taste. And the colours on the skins are bright yellow/orange/pink/purple/red shades that are probably meant to draw all species of mango lovers. Going into the unknown at the Indigenous Heritage Exhibtion 2024

 (The Moving Circle of Artists' work is presented in the 2024 Indigenous Heritage Exhibition at Castellani House until 30 September, 2024. ) There was no print catalogue available. The QR code image was around, but I did not have the technology to use the QR code even with assistance of the attendants. I hope the organisers will put labels on the work items for viewers who cannot access the QR code. I apologise to the artists whose work I reference without the proper attributions Going into the unknown Place hot and I feeling a lil jumpy despite the yoga routine earlier in the day.
