Cycle of life in dead flower, blossoms and bud

The young people were stunned by the task 'Introduce yourselves , give your name and one nice thing that you did in the last month' . Some persons asked for more time. In the gaff afterwards, they said that it was not so easy to think about the good thing as the bad thing, and that in looking at bad things in life it is easy to miss good things.

Mental health management requires keeping in the present and getting through things, one at a time.  A set of ironing which was put off and completed gets the same kind of joy as the being able to fix Skype to do an interview for a challenging job and the same satisfaction which comes from trying to assist remotely a young man who in a crisis and same as the pot dhal which taste good .

And then seeing the double hibiscus blooming on the tree which I thought had died. And the lesson here.. with the bud, the blossoms and the dead flower, all in one shot representing the whole damn cycle.. birth life death.. though sometimes it seems that death is a bit longer and more permanent sometimes.

The mental health in this season when everything is in suspension and yet you cannot leave everything in suspension because this thing named time moves on .

Man asked about the writing. Some times the writing is good. It is easy to get a word or two words and then just weave more words around those and something emerges which could give life to ideas.

Other times. Nothing. Words there. Ideas there. Random thoughts which do not connect though it might nice to connect them. Risky when writing is due.

Body also goes through the flow. Body and mind collapses and stress manifests itself in diarrohea and vomiting and then the  body has to heal again. The mind and the spirit take a bit longer though to push to get things done.

Man asks about the politics and I say, no I not voting and yet even though you not voting you still caught up in the madness - like my barber who is a Jehovah Witness and so many others.

The elections is not about issues, but about keeping guard, about monitoring for race and hatred and and the denials of 'it was not me, or 'yes.. it is bad, but... " and who is right and who is wrong rather than what is right and what is wrong and that some people keep swaying because the who more important than the what.

Mental health and self preservation. Looking for buds and blossoms and not worrying about the dead flowers.
