Pillow talk..
Some nights when the night is cold, and you wake up and hug up the pillows.. like last night.. you think and dream of all those who you wish were with you.
I have been lucky.. I always thought I was sensible and that I am a sleep alone, on my back kind of man but there have been times..
Pillow talk.. realising that sometimes when you actually are together you talk less than when at 1,2,3 in the morning, you increasing the phone companies' profits. The pillow, hugging up the pillow as you talk the unending nonsense on the phone. I wish you were here.. with me now.. what are you wearing (the shorts with the hole which too comfortable to throw away).. Sometimes.. the beep beep which lets you know -- the battery going and then one of you realise that you do not have the charger.. or.. the stern woman.. 'you only have one minute remaining' and nobody could get credit at 230am...
Pillow Talk.. when you cuddling up the pillow.. and talking with the beloved, because the beloved's neighbour had a birthday party and at 3am the music so loud the beloved cannot sleep.. the only thing being that the music is old Indian Filmi tunes which you both humming to in between the long silences just knowing that the other is there..
Pillow Talk.. when you wake up fuzzy , and recognise the number as the friend you got a crush on.. and then the friend apologises saying that is the wrong number and you want to know who the friend calling at this hour..
Pillow Talk.. when in the beginning , 11pm.. you do not answer the beeps saying someone else is calling.. and then as the intensity wanes.. you say excuse me.. i taking this call.. or I gotta go now.. somebody else calling.. and then no more pillow talk
Pillow Talk.. when the place cold.. and you talking, on the phone, and your bladder fulling up.. and you thinking.. heck.. I don't want to move.. or stop the conversation.. and think. should I carry the phone to the toilet... but that would be like taking someone to the toilet with you .. is that respectful and loving?
Pillow Talk.. when after all the conversations about how lovely it would be to be next to each other right there., that when it does happen.. it has all kinds of logistical problems.. and you end up sleeping apart anyway.. This they say is good for the health
Pillow Talk.. is when the loved one wants to talk or be with you and that jealous lover who sometimes evades you. Sleep, intervenes and you have to fight with Sleep to enjoy the limited time.
Pillow Talk.. is arguing and talking and laughing with a loved one.. who tells you to stop it because their loved one is sleeping next to them and might wake up...
Pillow Talk.. is when you cannot sleep and think of all the ones who you used to talk to at this time.. and how it all ended up .. but at least the pillows still there
